Email Kelli  |  204-727-2424

Kelli’s first job was working in her family’s egg barn on their third-generation farm in the Rural Municipality of Dauphin. She completed her education and started her legal career in Winnipeg before moving to Westman in 2011.

Having practiced family law since 2005, Kelli is known for her ability to achieve results for her clients both in litigation matters and in alternate processes including negotiation, collaborative family law, mediation and arbitration. Kelli also uses her broad range of skills and knowledge to offer clients comprehensive legal support in their family law matters, estate and succession planning as well as farm transitions. Kelli believes that farming families and their agribusiness operations have unique and often complex qualities and that her clients deserve legal services that offer a creative and personalized approach.

Over the years Kelli has been an active member within her communities by sitting on a variety of boards and volunteering for a number of organizations. She is a life member of Manitoba Bar Council, a past co-Chair of the MBA Alternative Dispute Resolution subsection and a past President of the Western Manitoba Bar Association. Currently, Kelli is a member of the Westman Chapter of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors, a Member-at-Large of the MBA Family Subsection and a Bencher for the Law Society of Manitoba, acting as Chair of the Complaints Investigation Committee.

Kelli has also been a guest speaker at the University of Winnipeg, University of Manitoba and Assiniboine Community College on topics related to the practice of family law, alternative dispute resolution and legal ethics.

Kelli and her husband Ryan have a busy blended family that includes four children, foster and rescue dogs and sometimes, hockey players who live with them while playing for the Virden Oil Capitals Junior A team.

When she isn’t practicing law, doing mountains of laundry and feeding her household army, she can be found running on gravel roads and participating in various road and trail races in and outside of Manitoba.
